It started unexpectedly. Dr. Guerra served as the Medical Director and Incident Commander for San Antonio's disaster response to victims of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. She stepped in to lead with limited available resources but quickly leveraged community partners to respond to thousands of people's health care needs in a non-traditional environment. Through creativity, and an ethical mindset, Dr. Guerra established herself as a healthcare leader for population health.

Since then, Dr. Guerra has served as an Executive Physician and leader in many health organizations and in varied health environments.

Dr. Guerra now offers her health system expertise as a consultant for organizations as they respond to reorganizations, change in leadership, evolving needs, unexpected challenges or temporary assignments. She will bring your organization a innovative approach focused on population health improvement, high quality health care and re-invigorate professionals during uncertain or changing times.
